Military Medals for Sale: WWI, WWII and More

Military medals were awarded to service personnel to mark where and when they served, and the exact medals someone received depended on their unit, campaign and dates of service.

Our First World War medals include the 1914-15 Star, British War Medal and Victory Medal, nicknamed Pip, Squeak and Wilfred after a 1920s newspaper comic strip. Not every serviceman received all three, but those who did wore them in the same order.

We also stock Second World War groups, including the Defence Medal, the War Medal 1939-45 and campaign stars such as the Burma Star, awarded to those who served in the Burma campaign between 1941 and 1945.

Korean War medals can also come up in our stock from time to time, including the United Nations Korea Medal awarded to British and Commonwealth troops. Among the regiments that served was the Gloucestershire Regiment, whose stand at the Battle of the Imjin River in 1951 earned a rare US Presidential Unit Citation. New stock is added regularly.
